WELCOME!

Recently and tragically, the world lost a special soul. To be sure, Kevin Albritton was a special human being. He was talented, smart, hardworking, humble, and loving. Kevin grew up in Larkfield and attended Maria Carrillo High School. Kevin was for, and of, an athletic subculture that engulfs the Larkfield and Rincon Valley areas.

While attending Maria Carrillo High school, Kevin lettered 9 times in soccer, basketball, and badminton. He was selected to All-City, All-League, and All Redwood Empire teams multiple times. In 2004, his senior year he was a Redwood Empire Athlete of the Year. After High School, Kevin went to work on his career, but held fast to his support and assistance to Maria Carrillo Athletics. In 2005, Kevin was asked to assist with the Badminton Team. Kevin became the team’s assistant coach and committed himself for the next 11 years. During two of those years, Kevin was the Head Coach. Starting in 2006, Kevin became the Women’s Varsity Soccer goalkeeper coach. Kevin assisted Debra LaPrath for 12 years during which he was a member of two National Championship Teams, and a Coach for the West in an East-West US National High School, All-Star, soccer game.

We will miss Kevin, his enthusiasm and commitment to athletics, athletes, and his friends and family. For sure we need to turn our energy into memorializing Kevin, and the terrific person he was. We are heartbroken, but determined to do things he did and would have done, to help and continue to help those in need, and to promote youth athletics, which were such a big part of his life.

Kyle Pope, with our eternal gratitude and support is holding  the first annual Kevin Albritton Memorial Golf Tournament. This golf tournament will benefit boys and girls sports in the Santa Rosa area. We are committed to making this tournament an annual event in order to continue to keep Kevin’s legacy alive.
